What if I Haven't Done the Right Subjects to Get in?
Universities need to make sure that students are ready to undertake their courses and capable of succeeding in them – that’s why they have entry requirements.
Some courses have specific entry conditions, usually called 'prerequisites'. They may require that you have completed a particular subject at school, or you may need to undergo an audition process or provide a portfolio of work (creative arts subjects).
If you do not have the prerequisites for the course of your choice, you may be able to obtain them through a bridging course.
To find out more about eligibility and entry requirements for a particular course, contact the university directly.
