Early Childhood Scholarships for Aboriginal People Featured
This Victorian Government initiative aims to increase the number of qualified Aboriginal people working in Victorian early childhood settings. Attracting more Aboriginal people to work in Victorian early childhood settings and supporting existing Aboriginal educators to gain or upgrade an approved qualification will help to ensure the workforce reflects the diversity of Victoria’s population.
Applications are invited from Aboriginal people currently working in a Victorian early childhood setting or primary school who wish to undertake an approved early childhood qualification.
A limited number of scholarships are available for people who are not currently working in a Victorian early childhood setting that can demonstrate a willingness and commitment to working in one upon completion of the course.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Be currently employed in a Victorian early childhood setting or primary school or demonstrate a willingness to work in an early childhood setting
- Have been accepted into a course leading to an approved early childhood qualification
- Have support from your employer (if applicable)
